1713. Side Tour del Monte Gazza

This tour runs from the edge of Valle dei Laghi to the Paganella plateau, passing through Andalo and Lake Molveno.

The route starts in the town of Vezzano and leads to the Bael area with views of the Sarca gorge and the Stenico and San Lorenzo in Banale area. Here you will continue along an easy road into woods that are home to several mountain huts before reaching an area near Lake Molveno. After continuing towards the lake on a tarmacked road, you will reach the shores of the lake. You will follow the lake round until you reach the village of Molveno, with the Brenta Dolomites in the background. Once you pass Molveno, you will head into a narrow yet charming canyon towards Andalo before ascending onto the forest road towards the Dosson plain. At about 1450 m.a.s.l., you will find yourself on some ski slopes before heading uphill towards the meadows on Monte Gazza, which are used as mountain pastures. Here, you will cycle through the meadows, which offer views of the Valle dei Laghi and Lake Garda, before descending towards Margone and returning to the departure point in the town of Ranzo.
