1800. Mega Marocche
This tour exceeds the expectations that any trails-loving biker may have from the area north of Lake Garda. The so-called "Marocche" offer a lunar landscape in the valley of river Sarca, north of Arco. Due to a huge landslide during the most recent ice age, thousands of rocky boulders rolled down from the steep walls of Mount Casale towards the Lake of Cavedine. Such landscape nowadays is the fascinating background of a great MTB experience: MegaMarocche, a tour that can hardly be topped when it comes to having fun while riding on trails. Even more importantly, these flowtrails can be enjoyed even by less-experienced bikers.
In comparison with the route departing from Lake of Garda, this pleasant alternative route departing from Ponte Arche saves bikers willing to reach Lake of Cavedine five kilometers at least. The tour begins with a short uphill stretch till the village of Comano and continues along a delightful trail towards the gorge of river Sarca („Limarò“ is the name of the place this river stretch runs through). From there one of the most attractive bicycle paths in Europe unfurls along a steep downhill road descending into the depths of the gorge and providing spectacular views.
A short stretch of paved road takes to the north shore of the Lake of Cavedine, from where winding trails - considered the best flowtrails of the whole region - lead through the forest till the south shore of Lake of Cavedine. There are no better MTB trails than these! After a short uphill stretch on paved road, bikers can once again enjoy riding on pleasant trails till reaching the road to Drena, a road that has to be followed uphill till Drena Castle.

From there riders get back to the infinite network of trails between the village of Cavedine and the lake of the same name, a network that may cause some confusion, were it not for the tracking and precise data supplied by Bike-GPS. Get surprised by the fabulous, winding trails this tour holds for any MTB lover.

After reaching the small car park of San Siro, the descent towards Lake of Cavedine runs alongside the steep walls devoted to climbers. Just as much as the first section of the tour is flow and fun, the second section demands technically skilled riders. Those who are not experienced freeriders will need to get off the saddle and walk some short stretches instead.

Way back on the bicycle path of Limarò, alongside the edge of the gorge of river Sarca and then to Maso Limarò, where local specialties wait for bikers.
