850 - Tour delle Somme

This is a beautiful, high-altitude fun tour that leads from the Baita Tonda hut on the summit of the Martinella mountain to the Stella d'Italia hut and down to Francolini, using the Serrada - Martinella chairlifts. The views are assured!

It is tiring to climb the heights and overcome the differences in altitude, it goes without saying that it is more fun to indulge in the long descents or some pedalling on the falsopiano. More or less this is what this MTB tour allows us to do, which, using the Serrada - Martinella chairlifts, takes us comfortably up the Folgaretan rises (the 'Somme') and then quickly descends to the valley. On the route we find some of the most beautiful views in Trentino, two forts from the Great War, Forte Dosso delle Somme and Forte Sommo alto. They tell a hundred-year-old story and deserve a stop. They deserve a visit.
