854 - Rosspach
A fun route from Folgaria down to the valley floor to be tackled in one go.
The route consists of a long descent from Folgaria to the bottom of the valley (Calliano, where it is possible to intercept the cycle path to Torbole in about 1.30 minutes), travelling for long stretches along what was once the ancient mediaeval viabial route (the route was used in ancient times to reach Castel Beseno - it is also known as the path from the mountain to the castle ed.)
Along the route, points of interest include the 16th century church of San Valentino, the villages of Mezzomonte di sopra and Mezzomonte di sotto, the Rella Mill, the Rio Cavallo - Rosspach- stream and, of course, Beseno Castle.

The destination is therefore Beseno Castle, located on the hill of the same name, or the junction with the cycle path leading towards Trento/Bolzano on one side and Lake Garda on the other.

The route is suggestive of the many access points to the Rio Cavallo (Rosspach), at some of which it is possible to canyoneer and dive into the crystal-clear pools or simply walk along stretches of the stream.

As the Rosspach valley is uninhabited, dense and varied vegetation predominates, making the environment very picturesque and wild.

A true descent into the wild!
