By car, drive to the car park at Lake Tovel. In the summer months, the road is closed to traffic and access is possible via a shuttle bus service from Capriolo Restaurant. From the car park, follow the footpath on the right along the lake to the Casa del Parco, where trail marker SAT 314 begins. This gentle uphill trail leads to Malga Pozzol, which is not used for pasturing but equipped with a comfortable bivouac. Here, follow trail marker SAT 371 that quickly gains altitude as it takes you to large pastures and Malga Flavona; a little above here you can admire the lush green plain of Campo Flavona where the towers of Mount Turrion Basso and Alto stand tall. Trail SAT 330 circumvents the rocky peaks to the south of Lake Tovel almost flat to Termoncello Pass. The itinerary continues on the left up a steep climb following trail marker SAT 339 to the lake. Once you reach the shore, walk alongside it towards the right to get back to the departure point.
