Please note that the practicability of the itineraries in a mountain environment is strictly linked to the contingent conditions and is therefore influenced by natural phenomena, environmental changes and weather conditions. For this reason, the information contained in this page may have changed. By car you reach the parking lot on the right after the first short tunnel on the road that connects Val di Non to Val d'Ultimo. Cross the road and take the forest road that quickly leads to the Malga di Cloz hut. Here you take trail marker No. 7, which climbs the meadows behind the hut to reach the Malghetto di Cloz. You make another 150 meters of elevation gain and reach the saddle that joins Cima Belmonte to Monte Cornicoletto where you turn right to reach Corniccoletto (La Vecla in dialect).
Retrace your steps back to the saddle and here follow the trail (without SAT markers) along the ridge through the grass that then climbs over rocky terrain to the cross of Cima Belmonte. After savoring the view and leaving a message in the summit book, continue along the ridge following trail marker 22 that, remaining at altitude, heads toward the Vedetta Alta peak. Just below the summit the trail becomes steeper and some sections are slightly exposed and equipped with a safety lanyard to be used as a handrail. The peak is often frequented by those ascending from Val d'Ultimo and with its height of 2624 m is the second highest peak in the Maddalene group after Cima degli Olmi.
The very long descent takes place following trail 11 to the Kessel Hut. From here you continue first on a dirt road and then on a path to the huts of Revò and Cloz from where you then in a few minutes reach the parking lot where you had left your car.
All the malghe you encounter on the descent are managed and are good places to stop.
