In the midst of the dense, pristine forests of the Val Concei, the Rifugio al Faggio is named after a large beech tree (faggio is Italian for beech) that stands behind the refuge, estimated to be over 250 years old. Built in 1955, the refuge has been updated over the years and is now frequented by lovers of good food and relaxation (there’s even a swimming pool). Mountain devotees still find plenty to get their teeth into on the Alpi di Ledro, whose slopes and peaks were of great strategic importance during the Great War. Open All year round Before leaving for your hike, always contact the manager to verify the actual opening of the mountain hut Walks It’s an easy 2 ¾ hour walk up to Bocca dell'Ussòl, the head of the Val Concei. It takes 4 hours to get to the panoramic peak of Monte Carida, the highest mountain in the Alpi di Ledro (difficulty E). The walk to the Rifugio Nino Pernici Bocca di Trat can be done in about 3 hours (difficulty E).

Arrival
The refuge is accessible by car on the SP119 provincial road, which runs from Bezzecca up the Val Concei. On foot from the village of Lenzuolo on the valley nature trail (car park in the Ciuco district). The path is suitable for all walkers and the refuge can be reached in approximately 2 hours without any particular difficulty (E).
