Torre di Pozza

Former summer-residence of a Tyrol-based noble family, Torre di Pozza is now private property and the only fortress featured by Val di Fassa, apart from the Corte de Fassia. Although it has since disappeared, the latter used to be a fort in Vigo as well as the seat of the Vicar of the Prince-Bishopric of Bressanone.
Square-shaped, Pozza tower features thick walls marked by narrow slits located under a sloping roof. Recent refurbishing works have helped make its structure lighter.
