Trekking to Corno di Tres is one of the routes to do when you are in Trentino. This medium difficulty walk starts from Rifugio Predaia and reaches the incredibly panoramic summit of Corno di Tres! Those who want can continue by making a loop along the beautiful mountain ridge that divides the Val d'Adige from the Val di Non. Alternatively, you just go down the same way you came up.

An easy route on the beautiful mountain ridge that divides the Val d'Adige from the Val di Non. This itinerary, which covers a section of the famous “Sentiero Italia”, crossing open woods in a continuous ups and downs, ensures along the way a view that does not show “man’s things” so much as to make you forget you are a few kilometers from inhabited centers… until the arrival at the summit, where a 360° view of the two valleys opens up.

    Safety information

As you can imagine, the passability of routes in a mountain environment is strictly linked to the current conditions and therefore depends on natural phenomena, environmental changes and weather conditions. For this reason, the information contained in this sheet may have undergone changes. Before leaving, check the state of the route by contacting the managers of the refuges on your route, alpine guides, visitor centers of the natural parks and tourist offices.

    Roadbook

From Rifugio Predaia take the dirt road (trail marker 503) which crosses, keeping level, meadows and young woods testifying to the advance of nature on land once used by man. Then you climb through a wooded area that leads to Malga Rodeza. You continue on the dirt road 503, then trail, until you take the Sentiero Italia (trail marker 500 S.I) which in one hour of walking and with a final slightly steep section, leads to the grassy summit of Corno di Tres.

Corno di Tres (m.1812) is a strategic point from where you can admire a 360° panorama: the Val d'Adige, the northwestern Dolomites, Pampeago, Passo Lavazè, Monte

Bondone, Paganella, the Brenta Group and the Maddalene Chain. For the return take trail 500 along the ridge that descends northwards and after the panoramic points below Corno del Cervo, take a trail that descends to the left and joins the dirt road with trail marker 526 and quickly returns to Malga Rodeza. From there you return to Rifugio Predaia “ai Todès-ci” via the way you came.
