By car, you reach the parking lot near Lake Tovel. In the summer months, the road is closed to traffic and access is possible with a shuttle bus service from the Capriolo Restaurant. From the parking lot, follow the path on the right that runs along the lake up to the Park House, where the SAT 314 trail begins. This trail, with a gentle climb along a forest road, leads to Malga Pozzol, which is not staffed but equipped with a comfortable bivouac. Here you take the SAT 371 trail that quickly gains altitude, reaching wide pastures and Malga Flavona, from where you can admire the very green and flat Campo Flavona, dominated by the towers of Monte Turrion Basso and Alto. The SAT 330 path skirts almost flat along the rocky peaks south of Lake Tovel up to Passo Termoncello. The route continues on the left with a steep descent along the SAT 339 trail back to the lake. Once you reach the shore, follow it to the right until you get back to the starting point.
