Trodo dei Salti
The route is the most direct way to reach the alpine pastures of Primaluna and Primalunetta from the villages of Spèra and Samóne. It used to be a beautiful mule track, used by the herders to bring down the milk from the mountain huts; it was then largely erased by the forest road built in the '80s and '90s. Along the route there are some votive shrines.

Since ancient times, in fact, the people of Spera and Strigno have used this mule track to supply the two mountain huts which are municipal property (Primalunetta of Spera and Primaluna of Strigno) as well as the nearby private meadows, from which they obtained dairy products, hay and wood/timber. As happens with many other realities, therefore, this route was the only way (the road coming from Cenon was built in the 70s/80s) serving those territories/alpine pastures and woods. The cadastral maps of 1859 "photograph" those realities, highlighting the quality of cultivation and types of buildings (those in masonry in red, those in wood in yellow). In the early 1800s (1801-1802) the Weiss family of Strigno arranged the construction of the chapel dedicated to San Bortolo and San Lorenzo and its history (as well as other details) is well described and documented in the volume by Vittorio Fabris "Santa Apollonia in Spera" pp. 215 and following. A separate section could be created for the events related to the 1st World War, highlighting which the Municipality of Spera has made an interesting investment in recent years. Aside from hiking opportunities, for something more in-depth an ad hoc research would be needed as well as collecting written and oral sources.

texts By Franco Gioppi
