Christmas Time in Ala, a charming village in Trentino where splendid Baroque palaces recreate the enchanting atmosphere of a bygone era.
This year marks the tenth edition of “Christmas in the Baroque Palaces.” Over four festive weekends, visitors can immerse themselves in the magical Christmas atmosphere of Ala, discovering and purchasing artistic and handcrafted creations from numerous local exhibitors.
Alongside the Christmas market, the entire historic centre will come alive: squares, palaces, and courtyards will open their doors to a wide range of cultural events. Concerts, theatrical performances, exhibitions, and street shows will enchant visitors in this elegant town that once hosted a young Mozart. Special attention will be given to families and children, the true stars of Christmas, who can take part in a variety of activities, including entertainment, creative workshops, storytelling sessions, games, and delicious afternoon snacks inside the historic palaces.
Local food and wine specialties, including the renowned wines from nearby wineries, will be available for tasting in the warm, refined setting of a historic palace. And for those strolling through Ala’s charming old town, delicious street food will be waiting to be enjoyed along the way.
Breathe in the magic and join the guided tours organized by the Vellutai, scheduled on the weekends when the Christmas markets are open, with meeting point at 5:00 p.m. in the courtyard of Palazzo Taddei (free participation, no reservation required).
