The Awakening of Val Canali

Spring lights up the Val Canali with colors and fragrances, a jewel of the Dolomites at the foot of the imposing Pale di San Martino. In this extraordinary setting, a special day comes to life, designed for those who love nature, stories, and mountain traditions.

The program weaves together movement and discovery: guided walks through meadows and forests, e-bike routes, tales along the Path of the Muse Fedaie, explorations of the ruins of Castel Pietra, and activities curated by the Paneveggio - Pale di San Martino Natural Park. There will also be moments dedicated to local flavors, to savor the territory in every sense.

An invitation to rediscover the Val Canali, celebrating the richness of biodiversity, the value of traditions, and the deep connection between community and landscape with a specific theme for this edition: water.

• Hike with the Alpine Guides Aquile di San Martino and Primiero of medium level with a loop tour of Val Canali via the No.738 "Piero Agostini" Trail with a small refreshment at Agritur Dalaip dei Pape. Minimum 5 people and maximum 20 people. Minimum age: 10 years. Duration of the activity: about 4 hours. Cost: €25.00 per person. • Hike with the Alpine Guides Aquile di San Martino and Primiero of medium-easy level with a loop tour from Villa Welsperg to the Ruins of Malga Pradidali with a small refreshment at the Ristorante Cant del Gal. Minimum 5 people and maximum 20 people. Minimum age: 10 years. Duration of the activity: about 3.5 hours. • Mountain bike or E-MTB excursion with instructors from Primiero Bike from Tonadico with a small refreshment at Maso Tais and return to Val Canali. Minimum 2 and maximum 6 people. Minimum age: 14 years. Helmet use is mandatory. Duration of the activity: about 3 hours. Length: about 16 km. Elevation gain: 600 m. Cost: €20.00 per person. • Mountain bike or E-MTB excursion with instructors from Primiero Bike with a loop tour in Val Canali and a small refreshment at Maso Tais. Minimum 2 and maximum 6 people. Minimum age: 14 years. • Visit the ruins of Castel Pietra with an aperitif: a walk with a mountain guide to discover the ruins of Castelpietra, which still overlooks the valley of Primiero. Stories of counts and countesses, in the wonderful setting of Val Canali. At the end of the experience, a tasty aperitif awaits you at Bar Le Guane del Laghetto Welsperg. Suitable for adults and children from 8 years old (no strollers or baby carriers). • "Shores, tale of a flow": narrated walk along the Path of the Muse Fedaie. A carriage pulled by majestic horses will accompany you to the start of this exciting narrated walk by the "Officina delle Pezze" Theater Company along the Path of the Muse Fedaie, where you will discover some legends of Primiero related to the world of water. During the walk, you will be involved in demonstrations of some farming activities and delve into the biodiversity of Val Canali with an expert from the Paneveggio Pale di San Martino Natural Park. At the end of the activity, a tasty aperitif awaits you at Camping Castel Pietra. Minimum 10 and maximum 35 participants per group. Minimum age: 8 years. Mountain clothing and trekking boots are recommended. Cost: €20.00 adults | €10.00 children from 8 to 12 years. All activities are free of charge and will take place in the garden of Villa Welsperg from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM

  A journey where the naked eye cannot reach! Have you ever wondered what a grain of pollen truly looks like or what a butterfly's wing looks like up close? Only for today, the scientific laboratory opens its doors to everyone. Come peek into the microscopes: you can analyze natural samples and discover the invisible secrets of biodiversity.
   
• WHO HAS PASSED BY HERE?
  What do the antlers of a deer or a nibbled pine cone tell us? The park's wildlife experts are waiting for you for an interactive exhibition of zoological finds and to share many curiosities about the daily work they do in the field. You can closely observe antlers, skulls, and tracks, learning to recognize the inhabitants of the woods like a true professional.
   
• A FIELD CUSTODIAN OF BIODIVERSITY
  Every seed is a treasure traveling through time! Come discover the collection of shapes and colors in our Custodial Field. An expert will tell you the adventures of ancient seeds and the importance of protecting them: little stories of biodiversity to learn how to take care of the life that grows.
  
  
  Discover the House of the Park
  
  Free and open visit to explore Villa Welsperg, the House of the Paneveggio Pale di San Martino Park. In addition to exploring the outdoor garden, visit the Park Visitor Center with its exhibition route and browse through the precious collections of books in wood and stone, as well as those dedicated to lichens, feathers, fossils, and much more.
