Castello Tesino
Wide stretches of woodland surround Castello Tesino, making it the perfect spot for a peaceful holiday
Crossed through by one of the most important Roman roads of the area - Via Claudia Augusta Altinate - Castello Tesino boasts some of the largest woods in the Trentino region, and is the ideal starting point for walks and hikes through this largely untouched landscape.
Numerous Alpine meadows and caves, in addition to the La Cascatella Park, the Celano Plateau, and the Trodo dei fiori in Passo Brocòn - a naturalistic, botanic trail in the Lagorai featuring more than 300 different species of flowers - offer visitors an intriguing nature-oriented vacation.
The 15th Century Church of Sant'Ippolito with its prized cycle of frescoes, the Roman bridge, the Rhaetian site and the Museo del Legno (Museum of Wood) are also worth a visit.
In winter, skiing can be enjoyed at the snow park, as well as sledding and snow-tubing on the ski-runs in Passo Brocòn and Marande.
