Lez "Viale dei Sogni" in Coredo
A pleasant gentle trail suitable for everyone. Through a short path immersed in the woods, which travels along an ancient irrigation channel called a “lez”, we get to two enchanting lakes and a recreational area where you can eat.
The name of the trail (dream road) speaks for itself. Taking this path means savouring what only nature can offer us: silence, delicate aromas and a view which changes as the seasons evolve. With the arrival of spring some delicate flowers bloom: lady’s slippers, primroses and violets. Immense stretches of purple capture our attention because the heather rules here and almost seems to want to invite us to lie down on its soft colourful blanket. In summer we are accompanied by the slow flow of the waters of the “lez” which has always invited children to build simple little boats made of cork or even leaves, a game passed on from generation to generation. And this leads to fun competitions with friends, to see whose reaches the end of the stream first.

Throughout the entire route, we can admire some works of art, a real open-air museum, which is enriched with new sculptures every year (sculpture symposium “Predaia Arte e Natura”). About halfway through the route, a stop at the charming wooden playground is a must for everyone: a real treehouse, a carved bear that at first glance seems real, a winged dragon, a balance course on logs, a wooden xylophone.
In the center of the village of Coredo from where we start our route, we find the Hotel Ristorante Sport offering tasty menus for all tastes; dishes ranging from typical to traditional, where the chef selects only zero-km and seasonal ingredients, therefore local vegetables and native game.
If we want to enjoy our meal immersed in nature, we can choose the Ristorante Due Laghi where we would be amazed by the flavor and simplicity of the dishes, as well as by the genuineness of the products and preparations.
Just a stone’s throw away is Agritur Agostini which with simple and natural ingredients offers appetizing traditional and typical dishes from Trentino and Val di Non and for those who still have energy, why not take advantage of a nice ride at the family riding stable?
With the Typical Trentino Osteria and Slow Food Osteria brand, here in Tavon we find the Ristorante alla Pineta, which offers creative and curated menus linked to the seasonal cycle and the rich local gastronomic tradition.

From the center of the village of Coredo, continue along via Venezia and immediately after the Cinema Teatro Dolomiti, at the height of Palazzo Nero, turn left following the signs for the Viale dei Sogni - SAT path 537. After a short climb, you will notice a sign directing you to the path, right in front of the old middle schools and just below the new School Complex and the picturesque Villa Giannantoni. After passing some houses, you finally enter the heart of the route, accompanied on your left by a charming stream called “lez” in the local dialect, whose waters flow slowly during the summer.
The path is unpaved, flat, and also passable with a stroller or by bicycle. After a few minutes, we are struck by the presence of some works of art created during the summer of 2019 thanks to the sculpture symposium “Predaia Arte e Natura.” It is a true open-air museum in continuous evolution; over the years it will become increasingly rich with artworks integrated into the pristine forest nature. Halfway through the route, there is a delightful wooden playground where the little ones can enjoy climbing the treehouse or navigating the courses made for them, while adults can take a short break on a bench, or why not, shop at the Coredo Cooperative Dairy located right next door.
Continuing along the avenue fully immersed in the woods, after about 20 minutes of walking, we arrive at the Locality Due Laghi, also called Località Palù. We are welcomed by a large park with playgrounds for children, a path accessible by stroller or mountain bike, a beach volleyball court, some picnic tables and benches, and lots and lots of greenery, all surrounded by imposing trees that in summer allow you to cool off a little in the shade. Above the park is a large parking lot for cars and campers, and just beyond is Coredo Lake with its green banks, where in summer it is possible to relax on a deck chair rented at the adjacent Pro Loco info point, or simply lie on a towel to read a book or sunbathe.
For the return, you go around the two lakes and then take the same route back.
