Lez di Dovena
A gentle, easy walk with great views overlooking Lake Dovena in the unmissable Val di Non!
This really is the walk that is suitable for everyone, adults and children, families with pushchairs and anyone wanting a peaceful walk with their dog. Along the gentle and shady path that weaves through the wood along the old “lez” (in local dialect the old village aqueduct) half way up the mountain, the panoramic views over the Alta Val di Non and the village below are not to be missed.

This is truly the walk suitable for everyone, young and old, both for families with strollers and for those who want to stroll peacefully with their dog. Along the flat and shaded path that runs through the woods along the old lez (in the local dialect, the old village aqueduct) halfway up the mountain, the panoramic views of the Upper Val di Non and the village below are unmissable.
Arriving at Lake Dovena, the view is breathtaking: you overlook a unique 180° panorama of the valley!
Author’s recommendation
Near the start, there is the Rifugio Arnica open from March to November where you can taste excellent local dishes or the classic pizza.
Along the route, there are often benches to rest on; during the warmer seasons, bring water.

Safety information
The route presents no difficulties.Roadbook
After parking the car at Rifugio Arnica, descend along the asphalt road you have just traveled for about 1 kilometer. On the left side of the road, you will notice the start of the wide path in the woods that leads to the new water basin above the village of Dovena. The route is flat and without branches. This is the path that follows the old “Lez” above the village. During the walk, you can rest on comfortable benches placed near the path to admire the panoramic views. At the end of the path, you arrive above the small village of Dovena. Here is the new water basin, a large sunny pond along which you can walk (it is fully fenced). This pond is fully fenced and is located on the edge of the high rocky wall of the deep Mondino Canyon. The view from this point is extremely aerial and spans the entire valley.
For the return, retrace the same path.
