The village of Coredo, with its ancient buildings, is the starting and finishing point of this beautiful loop.
From the center of the village, follow the main road that climbs towards Smarano until you meet on the left the trail marker 537 "Avenue of Dreams". You walk along the avenue that leads into the pine forest until you reach the Coredo Lakes. From here continue on a dirt road to the small chapel in the locality "el Palù" where the road starts to descend and, always following trail marker 537, reach the locality Doss Canestrin. Then, continuing downhill (trail marker 535), crossing a suggestive narrow valley where there are rock walls equipped for climbing, you arrive from above at the evocative Sanctuary of San Romedio, long a pilgrimage destination for visitors from all over the world. The Sanctuary, built and enlarged several times, is perched on a rock so that the inner staircase that leads into the oldest part of the building seems to lead towards the sky.
At the Sanctuary there is a bar and a fenced area where bears live. From the Sanctuary, take the paved road that leads into the gorge towards Sanzeno, and after about 400 m turn right onto the suggestive and panoramic trail carved into the rock that leads directly to the Rhaetian Museum of Sanzeno. Along the trail, there are several walls equipped for climbing.
The Rhaetian Museum is the center for the history of the Non Valley from the Ice Age to late antiquity and contains the most important archaeological finds discovered in the area. From the museum, take the road descending to the center of Sanzeno where the Basilica of the Holy Martyrs is located.
For the return, go back to the state road and descend about 400 meters until on the left there is a road (trail marker 504) that, climbing through apple orchards, leads to a wooded area to cross and reach the locality Ciavasoz. From here, shortly on a paved road (trail 504) you arrive at Coredo.
Variation: when the tractor road (trail marker 504) becomes a mule track on the right, there is a route starting with a tractor road, then a trail, which allows you to admire a huge Norway spruce, a plant monument of the valley. It comes out on a dirt road, then paved, which in 20 minutes leads to Coredo.
