Just 5 km from the San Michele all’Adige/Mezzocorona exit from the A22 motorway, we are in a convenient position halfway between Trento and Bolzano. The farmhouse is an excellent base for superb walks in the woods and surrounding countryside. The farmhouse has 5 well-designed attic rooms, all with bathrooms. Extensive use of wood fittings, traditional exposed beams and simple but elegant furnishings makes the rooms particularly welcoming. Breakfast is simple but tasty and includes home produce and home-made preserves and cakes. The farmhouse has a restaurant, which is also open to the public, housed in a typical stube (a traditional, cosy room) with wood-burning majolica stove: here you can enjoy an excellent meal while gazing out of the vast window at the magnificent view over the Piana Rotaliana. Our philosophy in the kitchen is ‘genuine ingredients served with a smile’. The restaurant serves traditional local Trentino dishes: our speciality is tortel di patate (a kind of potato cake) served with carne salada (salt beef), cold meats, cheeses and fresh garden vegetables. Of course, there is also polenta with rabbit, shin of pork, game, mushrooms and sauerkraut, and what could complement that better than a good glass of red wine produced in our own winery. And if you have room for more, there are our desserts: apple strudel, home-made cakes, ice-cream with warm fruits of the forest.
