Walk - Laste Castrozza

Wonderful circular route on the Prati di Bieno, a green oasis to spend a couple of hours in contact with nature.

<p>From the parking lot, passing behind the Town Hall through narrow lanes, you enter the pedestrian passage above the provincial road below the village, descending to the bridge over the Chieppena stream without crossing it.</p> <p>You cross the provincial road and immediately to the right descend again, following the narrow paved road that goes down through the forest of acacias and centuries-old chestnut trees. After about a kilometer, at the lowest point of the route, the road starts to climb in switchbacks, between meadows and crops; at one point, a sign indicates "Sentiero delle fate" (Fairies' Path), a short stretch that allows you to see curious wooden artifacts, and continuing for another 300 meters you are back on our route. </p> <p>Soon after you reach the beautiful S. Biagio church and shortly after the center of Bieno, the starting point. </p> <p>You enjoy a beautiful view over the Valsugana with Cima Dodici on the left and Monte Favore on the right. </p>
