The malga of Romeno is a classic destination for trips in the Val di Non. The ascent is on asphalt for the first stretch and then dirt, with a gradient that is never too steep. The descent passes by Rifugio Mezzavia and then crosses shady woods down to the Ruffrè ponds, before returning to the beautiful historic center of Cavareno.

    Author’s recommendation

Along the descent, before reaching Rifugio Mezzavia, pay attention to the sign indicating Monte Lira: this is an extremely panoramic point overlooking the Adige Valley and the Dolomites group!
