From the square in Sporminore, drive along Via Don Giuseppe Maurina first, and then along Via Castel Sporo. Go past the helicopter pad and after the second bend, you should notice a road going up on the right with a wooden sign for Val Goslada. Take this gravel road and park your car at the picnic area.
Proceed on foot uphill along the gravel road until you reach a junction with a trail on the right which leads flat into the woods with signs for the Dolomiti di Brenta Trek. This trail is called Tracciolo and it continues - flat throughout - across a cool beech-wood copse. The trail is a little narrow but it can be followed without any problems. There are no particular signs but you can’t go wrong because all you need to do is keep going straight, ignoring any country roads that cross the trail.
As you approach the Busoni spring, you will notice the temperature getting cooler and cooler. Behind the spring, you’ll find some wooden steps which are a little slippery leading down to the wooden bridge that the Adamello Brenta Nature Park recently renovated.
If you continue over the bridge and follow the signs for Dolomiti di Brenta Bike, you will reach the stunning Hermitage of San Pancrazio above the town of Campodenno.
The itinerary on the other hand is to go back from the wooden bridge, remaining on the country road that lies lower than the one used on the outward journey. It is a beautiful gravel road that also coincides with the Dolomiti di Brenta Bike trail along an old irrigation canal. This trail leads to a large picnic area with a canopy and the Sporminore sports field with a beautiful view of Thun Castle, of the town of Sporminore, of the Rocchetta pass and of the town of Spormaggiore beyond the valley.
Near the bowls court at the sports field, take the asphalt road uphill, which then becomes a gravel road into the thick of the woods. This country road is marked SAT 360 and after a little while it crosses the Tracciolo trail you took on your way here. Turn left onto this trail and go back to the departure point if this hike.
