Tour of the "Colonei"
A circular route in the basin of Madonna della Neve
The itinerary connects some of the major points of interest in Madonna della Neve, starting with the historic church dating back to 1600. From here the route continues in the shade of the majestic beeches and larches until it emerges in the meadows beyond the Rii Valley. With a small detour, it is possible to admire the impressive sinking of the "Bus del Pensa" which plunges steeply into the Aviana valley. From the Cola Pass you can enjoy suggestive views over the Adige Valley and the Lessini Plateau. On the way back to Madonna della Neve you will cross meadows and beech woods where, with a little luck, you can observe local fauna such as hares, roe deer and squirrels.
