Trek to Rifugio Nambrone – Amola waterfall

This walk to Rifugio Nambrone takes place on the forest road leading to the ‘Acqua Surgiva’ spring and along the ‘AmolAcqua’ theme walk. The route of the latter snakes its way through a maze of rivulets that criss-cross the lower Val Nambrone, i.e. the area at the confluence between two branches of the Sarca River: Sarca d'Amola and Sarca di Nambrone. The highlight of the walk is the crossing of the beautiful Amola waterfall, which achieves its highest drop in the forest near Rifugio Nambrone. This enjoyable walk includes a rather steep stretch in its first part, but runs on flat terrain in its second one. This walk is therefore suitable for children from 10 years provided they are used to walking. The short ‘AmolAcqua’ ring trek starts directly from Rifugio Nambrone and is accessible to pushchairs and wheelchairs.
