Travelling in Trentino

To travel within the province, Trentino Trasporti provides a network of transport service with city busses for getting around in the main towns of Trento, Rovereto, Pergine and the Upper Garda area, and a provincial service with busses connecting all the main towns and resorts in the mountains.

The Valsugana train line connects Trento to the eastern border of the province. The internal network is completed by the Trento - Malè - Marilleva train network that connects Trento to the Valle di Non and takes tourist-skiers directly to the ski areas. The Train + Bike service is organised in collaboration with the Val di Sole, Peio and Rabbi tourist board together with the bike rental shops of the area. The service provides specific trains that can take up to 80 bicycles onboard between Mostizzolo and Marilleva. And in the winter you can use it to reach the slopes stopping off at Daolasa train stop in Val di Sole, directly connected to a modern cable car. 

Even disabled tourists can travel within the province with ease. The Trentino Trasporti urban service has 151 "adapted" bus stops out of 606 and the busses used on the 13 adapted bus routes are equipped with: street-level floors, deployable wheelchair ramp, for getting on and off the busses, and a reserved wheelchair position with safety belt. The trains on the Trento - Marilleva line are also equipped to carry disabled passengers with wheelchairs.

Many resorts in Trentino offer cable car and chairlift services in summer to reach peaks and high mountain huts more conveniently.

In winter, Monte Bondone, Val di Sole - Val di Peio, Val di Fassa and all the other major ski areas offer a convenient Skibus service: an integrated bus and ski-lift transport system that consents quick transfers on foot from one locality to another.
