If you come up the mountain from Campitello di Fassa by the Col Rodella cable car, then make a further (small) effort and in 10 minutes you can walk up to the refuge (100 metres height gain) and treat yourself to the most spectacular view in the area: the Sella Group, Marmolada, Monzoni, Catinaccio and (behind you) Sassolungo. There’s been a refuge up here for over a hundred years. If you see a paraglider in the skies above Val di Fassa, it probably took off from this rocky outcrop overlooking the valley, ideal for taking flight. Open: From 20 June to 30 September Before leaving for your hike, always contact the manager to verify the actual opening of the mountain hut Walks Not far from the Refuge, beginners, too, can test their skills on the short Col Rodella via ferrata on the south face of Col Rodella (40 minutes, EEA).
