For those who want to reach Riva del Garda by car or motorbike the fastest way is the Motor way/Autostrada A22 (Modena-Brennero). We advise to leave the motorway at the Exit Rovereto Sud-Lago di Garda, 17 Km from Riva del Garda. Those coming from the North may exit the motorway at Trento Nord and then follow for about 40 Km the road SS 45b. Those coming from Brescia can follow for 80 Km the Western Gardesana (Gardesana Occidentale – SS 45 bis). Its tract between Gargnano and Riva is quite narrow and full of tunnels. The Eastern Gardesana (SS 249) is larger and fluent although, during the tourist season, traffic might be heavy, causing slowing-down.
