3 - Giro dell'Orrido
The term 'gorge' inspires a certain awe, but also arouses curiosity. It refers to the rugged, steep slope that slopes down into the deep Val di Gola. The walk, which is medium/easy, is also suitable for families with children over 6 years old. It offers an exciting panorama of the Lagarine furrow, Beseno Castle and the peaks of Mount Spizzom.
It is a short walk that has the merit of quickly taking us to a wild and beautiful place. After the first stretch, on a medium climb, marked by the presence of the gymnastic equipment of the Percorso nel Verde (for those who want to keep fit!), we continue along a small forest road (former military road) which, after two hairpin bends, takes us back to the path through a mixed forest (firs, larches, pines, broad-leaved trees). It coincides with the initial stretch of the Giro del Paradiso (no. 7) and with the SAT 425 route to Bècco di Filadonna.
