Cascata di Valorz
To admire on summer, and to climb in winter
The Val di Rabbi is definitely one of the most rural valleys in Trentino, where nature has a proud and vigorous appearance. It is here that you will find the Valorz waterfalls which, when frozen over in winter, become a destination for brave ice climbers.
In the summer time, it is possible to reach the bottom of these waterfalls along a really beautiful trail, suitable for all skill levels, which starts from the town of San Bernardo, about an hour from Trento. However, before setting off on the trail that will lead you to the waterfalls, we suggest you first stop at the outdoor Kneipp stepping bath to reactivate your circulation and be ready for the walk!
How to reach the waterfalls
Just a short distance from the Kneipp stepping bath, you take the Valorz trail, a ring route about 2 Km long, along which you can read the poems of Teresa Girardi and discover the artworks by local sculptor Maurizio Misseroni. The artist, weaving branches and wood, has portrayed some wild animals, like deer and bears, that peak out at you among the trees along the trail. Once you have reached the wooden bridge at the top of the route, you can decide whether to continue to the bottom of the spectacular Valorz waterfalls or to stop and look out from there, before concluding the ring route by returning to the starting point.
