Vola Bass Molveno Club
The "Vola Bass Molveno" airsports club was founded on 30 October 1995 by a group of super enthusiasts of the Paganella Brenta Plateau. The first president of the Club was Luca Donini, who has since become famous for having won the 2001 world championships and has become a renowned pilot and member of the FIVL (Italian Free Flying Federation) national paragliding team. In all these years the Club has strived to grow, with respect to both number of members and range of airsports options. Every year, in fact, it organises summer events and competitions among members, and at the beginning of autumn a trip to the paragliding sites. Membership of the club has exceeded 50 and, in the past, we have been called to organise an event valid for the regional (Triveneto) paragliding championships. In order to keep up with the times, as you can see, we have now launched a website, through which, we hope, larger numbers of airsports enthusiasts can discover our beautiful area and want to come and fly with us and the locals.
Our flight area is in the Brenta Group, precisely at the "Rifugio La Montanara" location. From here the upward currents lead to heights that can abundantly exceed 2000 metres. The panorama takes in the entire Paganella Plateau, including Lake Molveno, a gem set between the mountain peaks.
The Club is named after the most well-known peak in the area, of worldwide renown, and is aimed at cautioning those with an unquenchable desire to fly high: the "Vola Bass Club", fly low club, (from the Capanil Bass peak...).
