Associazione Vela Lago di Ledro
The only sailing school on lake Ledro for beginners, as well as for all those who want to upgrade their techniques
Although sport sailing has been enjoyed on the Lake since the 1920s, Lake Ledro Sailing Association was established by a number of sailing-enthusiasts only 17 July, 1963. The Association organizes the two-day Due Giorni Ledro, an Optimist invitation-only team regatta between leading junior teams coming from all over Italy and the world - including Croatia, Slovenia, Greece and Hong Kong. In the summertime, a number of regattas within the VelaLedro Cup championship are also held here. The only sailing school on the lake for beginners, as well as for all those who want to upgrade their techniques, is also run by the association.
The boating club caters for a number of services, such as docking spaces, haulage, decks, restrooms, parking-lots, boat-garaging, showers and changing rooms.
The VelaScuola project is also organised once a year with classes from the Istituto Comprensivo di Ledro, so that youths from the Valley can get to know and enjoy sailing during the school year.
