Roadbook
From the center of Cles continue towards Tuenno to cross the entire west bank of the Val di Non. After passing Denno, the descent ends at a junction under the main road where you need to continue straight, staying on the right and following the signs for Ton. The road continues with a slight descent and after crossing a bridge it begins to climb until the junction with state road 73, which you take to the right towards Trento until reaching the locality of Rocchetta. This detour avoids the traffic of state road 43.
From Rocchetta continue on the main road and pass through Mezzolombardo and Mezzocorona, then continue towards Roverè della Luna. You now proceed into South Tyrol along flat secondary roads until Caldaro and its namesake lake. A few kilometers after the village, you will notice the obvious junction on the left for the Mendola Pass. Here begins the long climb of 14 kilometers with almost 1000 meters of elevation gain, which every day sees hundreds of cyclists tackle its 15 switchbacks!
From the Pass, a well-deserved descent will reward your efforts and allow you to enjoy the beautiful views of the Val di Non and the Brenta Dolomites. Follow the signs for Cles and Trento until the junction at Dermulo. Here you join the heavily trafficked main road, which with one last climb takes you back to Cles.
