In the little church of Santo Stefano lies the tomb of the Unknown Soldier. The white marble cross on top of the hill commemorates all the Austrian and Italian fallen during the Battle of Bezzecca, 21 July 1866. The trenches date back to the First World War, when Bezzecca was the headquarter of the Italians in Valle di Ledro.

From Piazza Garibaldi turn right into Via Lamarmora. On the right take the staircase which leads uphill. Reach the little church of Santo Stefano and continue to the cross on top of the hill. Return along the same way.
