Classic hike with summit ascent in the heart of the Maddalene Group. The excellent exposure, mostly avalanche-safe slopes, excellent exposure, and the simplicity in identifying the route make it one of the classic hikes in the Val di Non with snowshoes and ski mountaineering.

This is a medium-easy hike in terms of technical level but should not be underestimated for the elevation gain involved. The first part of the itinerary mostly follows a forest road leading to the Malga Stierbergalm. The Malga is located in a panoramic and sunny position. From the Malga, continue over wide slopes that are never too steep up to the saddle, then ascend the short ridge leading to the summit.

    Safety information

Please note that the current weather conditions and any "contingent" situations may significantly increase or decrease the danger throughout the season. Always check the avalanche bulletin before heading out on a hike.

As you might imagine, the accessibility of itineraries in a mountain environment is strictly linked to the current conditions and depends on natural phenomena, environmental changes, and weather conditions. For this reason, the information contained in this sheet might have undergone changes. Before setting off, inquire about the path's status by contacting the refuge managers along your route, alpine guides, nature park visitor centers, and tourist offices.

    Roadbook

From the parking lot, follow trail number 19 which, along a forest road interrupted by a section through the woods, leads to the sunny Malga Stierbergalm (m 1850). The Malga is located above the vegetation, and from here you can see most of the track ascending the wide valleys towards the summit.

From the Malga, proceed to the left crossing a small valley created by a stream. Now ascend straight up broad slopes with steady inclines, passing to the right of a large rock and aiming for what seems to be a small pass. Here there is a hollow at the foot of the rocky slope of the Goldlahn Spitze, which you cross diagonally to the left up to a saddle. From here, with a final steep stretch, reach the ridge on the left and the nearby Cima Lavazzè.

The descent is along the same route as the ascent.
