Hike from the Nomi’s historic center to the castle
This hike allows you to admire Nomi’s historic center, where you can still see the residences with frescoes and prestigious gates. Rural houses, vineyards and cultivated fields testify to the ancient agricultural vocations of this Trentino village, which unwinds around the Palazzo Vecchio complex, a building with characteristic dry stone walls, built in 1400. The trail leads to Castello di Nomi, which belonged, in alternating phases, to the Castelbarco family, until they abandoned it in order to live in a more convenient building located in the valley. The castle ruins are an ancient testimony of the Battaglia di Calliano, in which it faced clashes with the Habsburg Empire and Venice.
