Italian Skiing School - Scie di Passione
Scie di Passione is a skiing school established by young Alpine and cross-country skiing instructors which, through education and sports, promotes projects linked with disability, availing itself of a highly specialised staff.
Formally established on 4 September 2011 as an Instructors’ Association, on 16 November 2012 it was officially recognised as an Italian Skiing School, made up of skiing instructors who are legally authorised and registered in the specific professional register.
Thanks to the strong collaboration between the specific institutions dedicated to teaching Alpine and Nordic skiing in Italy and the Republic of San Marino, the School intends to offer, through two excellent tourism-sports centres and a highly specialised staff, ski instruction to disabled learners 365 days a year.
Scie di Passione is, therefore, an ambitious project, based on the will to give anyone - regardless of nationality and psychological/physical/motor possibilities - the chance to experience the mountains and sliding sports in an independent manner, promoting interaction and integration between disabled and able-bodied skiers (acclaimed athletes and future athletes), working, among other things, to achieve upgrading and accessibility of the host facilities.
All of this is made possible by the presence, within the staff of Scie di Passione, of a Scientific Committee suitably made up of people who, owing to their characteristics (personal and professional, both able-bodied and disabled), have the duty of creating and verifying new opportunities and the activities that can be organised and carried out.
Technical Staff
At Scie di Passione, there are instructors with professional ski instruction qualifications, specifically in reference to Alpine and Nordic skiing, even targeted to the various types of disability (motor - sensory - cognitive).
These professionals share a teaching method where the person - each with their own emotions and peculiarities - always comes first. This method is shared with all individuals operating within the project, through a training programme provided by Snowsports Academy San Marino, the institution that promotes the project.
