Scurelle
An 18th Century centre devoted to handcraft featuring striking views
Located within a splendid natural bent in the heart of Valsugana valley, Scurelle used to be overlooked by the "Castelliere" or "Castellare" (currently corresponding to the outlying municipal district of Castellare), a defensive fort perched near Roman road Claudia Augusta Altinate.
A centre focussed on handcraft and industry of the Eastern Valsugana, Scurelle boasts a manufacturing tradition dating back to the 18th century.
Tourists are invited to visit the church of SS Martino and Valentino, the remains of Castel Nerva perched on a rock outcrop overlooking the town, the Val Campelle with its green meadows dotted with Alpine farm-houses, and the mountain-hut Caldenave , which is one of the stops on the Alta Via del Granito trail.
