Tenna
A balcony with a view of two ample lakes in the Valsugana
Located in a privileged position on a hill bearing its name between the Austrian-Hungarian fortress and the Alberè pine forest, Tenna offers visitors a magnificent view of Lake Levico and Caldonazzo in the plain below.
Its 19th century Austrian-built military fort was one of the links of a chain of fortifications stretching between the Veneto and the Trentino region, overlooking Lake Caldonazzo as well as part of the Valsugana. In the town-centre, the church of San Valentino was built on an ancient military milestone indicating the route taken by the Via Claudia Augusta.
Given its altitude of 569 m, the town is ideal for family-friendly holidays. Its hills are covered with traditional Trentino apples - the peaks of the Brenta Dolomites rising high in the distance - and its meadows, pine woods and lake are just a few minutes away from town.
