Pontedilegno-Tonale
Tonale pass, a natural open and panoramic amphitheatre that rises from 1884 m to 3100 m in elevation of the Presena glacier is part of the Adamello Ski area together with Pontedilegno and Temù.
100 km of runs in the Adamello-Presanella mountain ranges. The 40 slopes are divided according to the following levels: 11 blue, 23 red and 6 black runs with 100% guaranteed artificial snow-cover.
Its winter season is very long and the ski tracks, covered by an artificial snow system, offer a wide choice of difficulty levels for beginners to experts and competition-training athletes.
The system is served by modern and fast 10 ski lift systems located at the pass and another 20 in the rest of the area, all of which offering spectacular views. The instructors of the Italian Ski School Tonale Presena speak various languages and are trained to teach skiing, snowboarding, telemark, freestyle; adventure courses: freeride, backcountry, heliski; courses for competition athletes on cult tracks, while children have Fantaski, a school camp with moving walkways and giant cartoon characters that transform skiing into a fantastic game.
The area also offers sled runs, snow shoe or Nordic walking excursions, ski equipment rentals and free skibus interconnecting all of the lift stations in Val di Sole.The resort is renowned for its hotels, which are directly on the slopes, as well as for its famous après ski.
The Adamello Ski ski-pass is valid for all the slopes in the Temù-Pontedilegno-Tonale-Presena district; the Superskirama pass is valid for Passo Tonale, Folgarida-Marilleva, Madonna di Campiglio-Pinzolo and Peio, while the Combi1 covers the Tonale area as well as being valid for the Val Rendena - Folgarida - Marilleva district for 1 day.
Tonale is the headquarters of the Italian Sleddog Progres School founded to teach this wonderful sport, and also offers the possibility of practicing ski-mountaineering in the company of Val di Sole Alpine Guides.
