Pinzolo
The town is located at an ideal elevation of 700-800 m a.s.l. in the wide Sarca valley, at the feet of majestic mountains - granitic on the right side and dolomitic on the other
156 km of pistes in the Campiglio Dolomiti di Brenta Val di Sole Val Rendena ski area served by 61 ski lift systems, including the new Pinzolo-Campiglio Express cablecar, which wend their way through ever-changing landscapes and also descend into the valley.
A playground area on the snow has been set up for kids in Prà Rodont. Ski-runs are ideal both for beginners trained by the local ski-schools' instructors, and for more expert skiers, who will find the right slopes to test their skiing techniques. Expert skiers cannot miss out the DoloMitica piste, Pinzolo's latest ski slope that has already become a legendary run. Served by the new Tulot lift, the DoloMitica runs down to the valley floor with two different routes: the DoloMitica Tour (5.5 Km long) and the DoloMitica Star (3.5 Km long) with a maximum gradient of over 70%.
Ski-mountaineering routes, more relaxed walks on snow-shoes or paragliding are other sport opportunities featured by the area. Snowboarders can enjoy themselves at the Brentapark, in the beautiful Busa di Grual, served by a 4-person chair-lift with automatic closure bars. Pinzolo also boasts the Ice Arena with the Olympic skating rink and the Cross-country Centre of Carisolo-Pinzolo. From the entrance to Val Genova, the latter offers 5 km trails unfurling towards Pinzolo Giustino and Caderzone on the snow-covered fields along the Sarca river. The artificial snow system always guarantees snow and the trail is lit for skiing by night (3km).
