Ecomuseums

The guardians of memory and tradition

There’s history with a capital “H”, written by kings and popes and recounted by castles, cathedrals and monuments. And then there’s the history of the people, less majestic but maybe more authentic. It’s the history of ancient crafts and professions, of the hard work to “tame” new lands and raise families. These are the stories safeguarded by ecomuseums, often little known but well worth a visit if you wish to truly understand the history of Trentino.
