Valsugana’s centuries-old forest where art and nature become one, rocks, tree trunks and leaves come to life, and the impossible is real

Arte Sella is more than an open-air museum: it is a creative process showcasing the constantly mutating interaction between man and environment. Rocks, branches, leaves, tree trunks, soil: raw materials for works of art which are literally rooted in place, becoming one with nature.
Since 1986, over 300 international artists have contributed to this “place for the soul” with creations that are now part of the landscape, transforming with the passing seasons. Explore them on the ArteNatura path, passing the artworks and monumental trees of Artesella before stopping at Malga Costa, a cultural and exhibition space.

The new Sky Museum project brings art from Arte Sella to the heart of Borgo Valsugana. 3 installations mark the start of a multi-year celebration of architecture and landscapes: The Broken Oak by English artist Stuart Ian Frost, made from oak trees felled by storm Vaia; Controfacciata by Edoardo Tresoldi; and L’Uomo volante (The Flying Man) by Cédric Le Borgne, showing visual continuity with Edoardo Tresoldi’s piece.
