Maso Spilzi
Beautifully located near Costa, just 2 km from Folgaria, Maso Spilzi was built in the second half of the 18th century by the wealthy family of the same name.
Today it represents a unique and original example of an alpine settlement, halfway between a stately residence and a fortified complex. The different buildings are arranged around a deep inner courtyard, protected on the western side by high walls with a hanging walkway. On the door of the large barn, now used as an exhibition area, the slits used for the drawbridge ropes are still visible.
An atypical and fascinating farmstead, nestled in one of the area's most evocative walks. The eastern wing of the complex houses the Club House of the nearby 18-hole golf course (opened in 2014) and the elegant Bar-Restaurant Maso Spilzi.
It can be easily reached by car through the village of Costa or on foot, with a suggestive route through the Ecken Biotope.
