Some oddities and history amongst the vineyards of Isera in Vallagarina
For centuries, postcards were the main means of communication. An image, a postage stamp, a stamp and a greeting: a piece of cardboard that crossed borders, seas and mountains to reach the addressee.
In Isera – in the town of Marzemino – more than 35,000 postcards, of all kinds, were collected, with subjects ranging from World War I, the Austro-Hungarian Empire, political satire, Renaissance events and the Tyrolean insurrection as well as the most famous tourist resorts in Trentino and South Tyrol.
