El Filò
The charisma of a welcoming environment
The restaurant ...
The name "Filò" is part of Trentino tradition and is used to describe those cold evenings that farmers used to pass together in the winter, chatting, working and telling stories. El Filò is a reference to these welcoming atmospheres and has two small rooms decorated in the Alpine style. Welcoming and elegant, each can host up to 25 diners. The restaurant was established in 1964. It serves traditional dishes, reinterpreted in a creative manner, using top quality ingredients. Furthermore, its dishes alternate in accordance with the seasonality of the products available at different times of the year.
The restaurateur...
In 1999, Nicola Vian took over the restaurant that had been managed by his family for over forty years. His parents - Renzo and Maria Grazia - were the first to serve pizza to the inhabitants of Val di Fassa, turning El Filò into a restaurant-pizzeria. Nicola studied at the Scuola Alberghiera di Merano as well as at a number of well-known Michelin Star restaurants such as Borgo in Rovereto. He has concentrated all his attention on elegant, creative dishes. This is El Filò's history. Here, Nicola works as a chef, while his mother Maria Grazia, together with Emanuela Depaul, can be found in the dining room.
