The “Venetian style” Molini di Malé sawmill dates back to 1774. It has a small wheel, just 65 cm in diameter by 1 metre in width, powered by a cascade of water from above and requiring a force of 95 litres a second to turn it. In perfect working order, this sawmill today allows visitors to discover an ancient art and teaches them about the different kinds of wood, each one with its own special characteristics.
