Museum on the Theme of Mountains and Women
In Olle, the ancient Casa Andriollo houses the permanent exhibition dedicated to mountain women.
In the town of Olle, in an ancient family house, an exhibition path dedicated to women has been created: through the vestiges linked to the different moments of women’s life and its social and symbolic values, the nondescript female inhabitants of the mountain area are able to voice their feelings. Some spaces of Casa Andriollo display documents and artefacts of female experiences, especially in the home.
The aim is to enhance the quality and knowledge of women who, like Alice, the last woman who stayed in the house, lived in silent modesty the fact that they were not taken into due consideration. The path aims to show the intimate aspects of women’s life stories by emphasising the creative activities that were carried out in anonymity.
Soggetto Montagna Donna does not aspire to be a museum, nor does it have celebratory intentions; rather, it intends to propose itself as an open and constantly evolving subject.
