The Cogolo hydroelectric power plant is a fine example of industrial architecture from the twenties. This unique valuable power plant is considered to be the most beautiful in Italy, and it fits in perfectly with its extraordinary natural surroundings. Its large, finely decorated rooms reveal all the secrets of how water becomes clean energy. The Cogolo power plant was built at the foot of the Ortles-Cevedale mountain range in 1929 and is still in perfect working condition.
