Campiglio - Cascate Vallesinella

Vallesinella is accessible from Madonna di Campiglio and can be reached by car on a 5 km-long dirt road. It features several waterfalls and caves dug out in the characteristic Dolomite rock.

The other route for reaching Vallesinella on foot is the path called "dell'Orso", which starts from Mount Spinale cable-car and cuts sideways across Mount Spinale.

Crossed by a branch of River Sarca, Vallesinella is covered with white fir and beech forests up to an altitude of 2,000 m, and from there on it features a typical high-mountain landscape, where you can admire the glacial action that originally shaped the valley.

The Vallesinella water course with its three waterfalls - named Upper, Middle and Lower - descends down to the valley and offer an enchanting landscape, scattered with numerous caves and karstic phenomena reslting from the water flowing, which over time has built natural bridges and springs. Quite large caves - from 386 to 523 m long - are located at higher altitudes along the walls of Torrione di Vallesinella and Castelletto di Mezzo. Vallesinella is also one of the gateways to some of the most well-known mountaineering routes, since it gives access to Quintino Sella and F.F. Tucket mountain-huts, dating back to 1904 and 1906. Two classical mountain climbing routes - Cima Brenta and Castelletto Inferiore routes - as well as Sosat path, which is a portion of the Bocchette path, start in this valley.
