The temperate climate, the Mediterranean vegetation that frames the great lake and the beauty of the mountains in the backdrop: all of this is Garda Trentino. At a short distance, the mountains of Valle di Ledro and the deep blue lake amidst them.
The main feature here is the wind: gifted with a perfect breeze (called Ora) the Trentino shores of Lake Garda are a popular honey pot for all sailing and windsurfing fans and regattas and international competitions are held every year in this setting. The Lake’s beaches and the boats that cross it are features loved by whoever just wants to relax and enjoy unique views.

In addition, the Alto Garda (upperlake Garda) area is one of the destinations preferred by free climbers: the mountain faces dropping vertically into the Lakebelow are spectacular free climbing stages.
The nearby Valle dei Laghi merges to the south with the Sarca Valley. Water valley which, in the past, was an ancient bed of the Adige river, offers views to be covered on foot or by bike, through vines and orchards. Enchanting lakes, such as the Toblino, Cavedine, Terlago lakes and the wild Lamar lakes. This is the valley where the precious sweet Vino Santo is produced.
On the opposite side of Lake Garda, we find the Ledro Valley and the homonymous lake, one of the cleanest in Trentino, it attracts lovers of camping or apartment holidays. To visit, the Museum of Palafitte, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Over 200 km of cycling, forest and military paths allow you to get to know the valley on two wheels. Canyoning is very popular in this area.
During winter, particularly at Christmas, Garda Trentino turns into a sort of fairy-tale, and enchants visitors with its wondrous landscape and delicious foods and beverages, not to mention the local Christmas markets. It is the perfect destination for those in search of tranquility and well-being, and moreover a prestigious seat for congresses and innovative events. Here,Mediterranean cuisine meets the flavours of both the mountains and the lake. Among the best foods to try is the extra virgin olive oil, the Trentino wines and carne salada (pickled beef).
