Val d’Ambiez
The valley known as Val d'Ambiez, in the southern part of the Brenta mountain range, runs for about 12 km along a north-south axis between the peaks of the Ambiez and Ghez minor mountain ranges.
The wild Val Ambiez in the Adamello Brenta Nature Park takes you right into the heart of the Dolomites!
Val d'Ambiez can be reached from Baesa, which is 3 km from the village of San Lorenzo in Banale, in about 2 hours on foot or alternatively 30 minutes using the Jeep shuttle service as far as Rifugio Cacciatore (1821 m). Another hour takes you to the Silvio Agostini refuge (2410 m), an excellent starting point for ascending Cima d'Ambiez as well as an intersection point of the most famous and suggestive routes crossing the Brenta Dolomites, such as the Brentari path, the Castiglioni via ferrata, Via delle Bocchette and the Dolomiti di Brenta Trek routes.
